Why I Do What I Do
I've always been curious. I want to know how things work, how they tick. I want to see what's around that corner, what's over there.
As an intuitive child I was aware of energies around me; I sensed things. I wasn't afraid of the dark, I was afraid of what was in the dark. I knew when the phone would ring and who would be calling. I knew who'd drop by the house unannounced. I come by this honestly: my Ancestors carry a healthy dose of intuitive gifts on both sides.
My interest in energy began with intense curiosity about electricity and magnetism when I was little. I went to Engineering School to become an Electrical Engineer because I was so curious about these phenomena. Later in my software career I felt that I was off-track somehow and that I wasn't making a difference. So I spoke to the Universe and asked for a new direction.
Massage school was that something. From that decision to explore something new, my intuitive doors opened wide again. First came Reiki, then shamanism. The shamanic connection felt deep, as if I'd come home to something central within myself. With this came greater training and awareness in energy medicine, energy healing, and myriad questions about how spiritual energies afffect the human body.
I'm still searching for answers to that question, and my private practice reflects that. Memories reside in the body. Trauma gets locked in soft tissue. We are affected by the energies of the places we live. We are affected by our Family System and by the unfinished business of our Ancestors and all that they have gone through so that we can be here. We are affected by the Celestial Beings who share space with us in the many dimensions we all inhabit together.
I don't have all of the answers yet.
I keep on looking.
